What is a 941 Quarterly Withholding Form?

The Federal 941 Form is basically the primary federal employment tax form.

Federal withhold tax for the eventual income tax is reported here along with the Social Security and Medicare Taxes that are withheld from employees and doubled with the employer portion, prior to being sent into the government.

941’s are generally filed quarterly, with the other State of Illinois payroll tax returns. They are due one month after the end of the quarter. An example would be the first quarter ends on March 31st, so the 941 is due no later then April 30th.
