Finding an accounting service or CPA in Chicago

You should be looking for an experienced public accountant that will protect you, your family, and your business.

One who has taken their clients through good economies and bad. Through all of the product, personnel, overhead and taxation difficulties. You need someone that you can trust.

The type of accounting that Accounting Solutions Ltd. does, each and every day, is a lost art. We believe that the main job of an accountant is to protect our client. The only way that we know to do that effectively is to be a full service accountant. That means that we enter every check, reconcile every bank statement, produce financial statements, have ongoing conversations with our clients about tax planning. We also create sales, payroll, and income tax returns which will hold up to scrutiny. If there is a better way to protect a small business client, and not do all of that, I’d love to know about it.

Finding a reliable, knowledgeable, and professional full service CPA Firm in Chicago is not an easy task. At last count there were over 1500 accounting and tax firms in Chicago. Most are unlicensed income tax preparation firms. Most of the public accounting firms that are left do not handle small businesses, because the fees are small. Of the firms that are left, most are not full service.

Even more risky is someone trying to do their own bookkeeping. Are they going to do it correctly? Do they even know any of the applicable tax laws? Can we ever ask anyone to truly police themself?
