Seeking revenge on an Ex Partner with an IRS Audit Chicago Illinois

The oldest trick in the book is seeking revenge on an ex with an IRS audit.

There’s only one big problem which usually occurs. Many times you will end up being audited yourself.

If they audit the last year filed which was after the divorce and find a bunch of taxable income that was unreported, the service will probably open up addition years going back. This means that you could end up in an audit yourself.

If your spouse caused the taxable event, and doesn’t have the money to pay, then you could end up paying the additional tax yourself.

If you are even asking this question in the first place, then your current accountant isn’t doing their job and its time for a change.
